THE PROGRAM

Day 1

Meeting at the airport. Arrival transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (40 minutes). Accommodation in double rooms in the hotel. Rest.

Day 2

Start by the helicopter to the volcano Ksudach (1 hour of 20 mines). The caldera complex of the volcano consists from uneven-age calderas, clinkers of volcanic constructions and the young cone Shtyubel which is the northern part of the basic caldera. East, northeast to the caldera, and also the crater Shtyubel are filled by crater lakes. On the volcano it is actively shown fumarole and hydrothermal activity. Steam-gas jets of various power are dated to extrusion Hot Rock and the Soaring crest. Outlets of thermal waters are dated for the coast of lakes - Key and Shtyubel, and the most powerful - the Hot beach – to the bottom of extrusions. Excursion in the crater Shtyubel. Bathing in hot springs. A lodging for the night in tents.

Day 3

Transition to the lake Key - the river Warm (15 km). On a way survey of the falls about 10 meters in height on the river Warm.

Day 4

Transition the river Warm - the river Right Khodutka (18 km).

Day 5

Transition the river Right Khodutka - Khodutkinskye hot springs (18 km). The way runs on the left bank of the river. The wood is presented by a young birch forest and groups of cedar, alder-tree.

Day 6

Rest, bathing in Khodutkinskye hot springs. Numerous outlets of thermal water are located on the extensive glade surrounded by a wood, they form small hot river in the extent of 1 km, in the width 15-20 m and depth up to 1,5 m. Behind the glade the small hot river proceeds through the birch forest a few hundred meters beautifully framing its bank.

Day 7

Transition to the Khodutkinskye hot springs - the river Asacha (16 km)

Day 8

Transition to the river Asacha – the stream Podgorny (15 km)

Day 9

The Stream Podgorny - the river Vichienskaya (15 km). An output on the road to the car.

Day 10

Transition by motor transport up to the caldera of the volcano Gorely (1829). Installation of a camp. A supper. Lodging for the night in tents.

Day 11

Ascend Gorely volcano 1,829 m (6,000 ft). Ascent on the volcano is not complex. Old lava flows, slag fields. Kekurniks – hardened lava remains of various shapes are very interesting. Ascend takes 2-3 hours. Level difference is about 900 meters (2,953 feet). Snacks on the top. Observation of main craters of the volcano. Ascend takes 6-7 hours. Return to the camp at the same way. Drive to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Accommodation in a holiday camp in Paratunka.

Day 12

The foot transition up to the place of breakdown of the camp on the stream Catcalled. Installation of camp. A lodging for the night in tents.

Day 13

Foot excursion to the crater of Mutnovsky volcano. The deep crater is surrounded with cliffs. From the eastern side to the very bottom of the crater a glacier descends from the top. Mighty jets of steam and gas are released through glacier cracks. There is a lot of boiling mud pots, fumaroles, and beautiful deposits of burnstone on the crater bottom. Trekking to the crater 3 hours. Ascend 800 meters (2,625 feet). Observation of the crater 2 hours. Dry snacks. The distance of the way back 12 km (7,46 mi). It will take 7-8 hours. Return to the base camp at the same way. Observing of a waterfall in Opasny (dangerous) canyon on the way. Overnight in the tents.

Day 14

Free day. If weather is good, for those who wish, heli excursion to the Valley of Geysers.

Day 15

Transfer to airport. Departure.
